DESCRIPTION: Center X's Teacher Education Program and the Institute for Democracy, Education and Access (IDEA) invite applications for the position of Qualitative Researcher to develop case studies of teacher learning that span multiple sites and extend beyond the university into urban communities across Los Angeles. Working in collaboration with teacher education faculty and students, this researcher will be responsible for bridging theory and practice through the construction and use of case studies as a learning tool.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Qualitative Researcher must hold a Ph.D., have experience in case study methodology and urban teacher education, as well as possess exceptionally strong writing skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
STARTING DATE: July 1, 2001. This is a one-year position, and is renewable for up to five years.
