Thanks Dot.
BTW the work of his we have put up is, "Shakespeare: A Marxist
Interpretation" at
http://www.marxists.org/subject/art/lit_crit/works/shakes.htm.
It is part of a developing subject archive called "Marxism and Art" which
can be found at
http://www.marxists.org/subject/art/index.htm

A.A. Smirnov
I know he was on the Plenum for Vygotsky's works with Leont'ev, Gita,
Elkonin, etc. and is mentioned in the Psychology of Art - but does he ring a
bell. I found an old piece of his on Shakespeare and Marxism (30's) and am
just trying to dig up some historical background.
Was he part of the cultural-historical school, friend of the family,
official guardian etc? Just curious.
Dot, I lost that contect you sent me, could you resend it - thanks.
Nate
