Kathryn,
Given what little info. i was able to glean, I really prefer not get into
this bait..
Keep in mind this is just one person's probably biased opinion (mine)...
you may want to attend their Summer Institute in Russia this summer and see
for yourself. Overall, it was a good experience to share with our
international colleagues and honor their committment to developing the
Golden Key schooling practices. I really would need much more information
before sharing more that the snapshots in that post.

Probably...
If so, does that mean that the "Vygotsky's" were being
>assessed as being more or less authentic for their "reconstuction of LSV
>and practices" than other academics who make their living being
>"vygotskian'.
Perhaps so, you would have to ask others to know but I don't think that the
"seeing who is more authentic" question is that useful, particularly when
we (were)/ are trying to strive for solidarity across borders..
Reminds me of one statement made during the conference, perhaps a quote
from Davidov or a peer from the (more suthentic?) 2nd generation of the
troika, something like "if you really wish to understand LSV, you must go
beyond LSV.."
My hunch is that there is so much diversity in how LSV is being
used/applied today worldwide that the authenticity issue is hot hot hot..
for many it is not LSV only but AT or CHAT and each community of practice
"hears", interprets according to particular frames of reference, contexts
and available artefacts..
