Chair of Psychology (Ref: 00/Q042C) This position is one of two established Chairs in the School of Psychology. Applications are invited from candidates whose research interests are compatible with the existing profile of the School. Applicants must hold a primary degree in Psychology, a PhD by research and have a distinguished record in teaching and research in the development of the discipline. An outstanding track record of publications successful grant application and presentation at scientific conferences is required and applicants must also have made an internationally recognised contribution to the discipline. Lectureships in Psychology The School wishes to expand its activities in the areas of Individual Differences and Statistics and Design and invites applications from those with good research backgrounds in these areas.
Individual Differences (Ref: 00/P194C) Applicants must have at least a second class honours degree in Psychology, a PhD by research in psychology and some post doctoral experience. Research interests in Individual Differences, particularly into the biological, cognitive or computational processes underlying mainstream models of human personality, mood, emotion, motivation or intelligence are required together with a publication record in scientific journals and some experience of presentation at scientific conferences and grant applications. The following are desirable: a first class honours degree in Psychology, eligibility for Chartered membership of the BPS, teaching experience which includes lecturing and project supervision and experience of teaching Individual Differences, research expertise in Individual Differences in an area compatible with the School's existing activities, a track record of publication and of successful grant applications.

Statistics and Design (Ref: 00/P195C) Applicants should have at least a second class honours degree in Psychology, a PhD by research in psychology and some postdoctoral experience together with experience of teaching statistics and design in areas compatible with the School's interests and ethos in this area. Individuals must also have experience of teaching and using SPSS, together with a publication record in scientific journals and some experience of presentation at scientific conferences and grant application. The following are desirable: a first class honours degree in Psychology, eligibility for Chartered membership of the BPS, experience of teaching statistics and design to psychology undergraduates; the development of a teaching programme in statistics and design; formal lecturing and project supervision teaching experience of quantative and qualitative methodology; research expertise in a relevant area to the School, an interest in research in an area relevant to the School's activities, a track record of publication and of successful grant applications.
