I am always distraught when I see stories that explain why our college
freshman are SO dysfunctional when they enter their first public
speaking classes. With your permission, I'd like to share this story
with my Speech Communication colleagues on a different listserv. As a
discipline, we pay virtually no attention to K-6 education, and only a
tiny bit more to 7-12. Maybe your example will raise awareness a tiny
bit.
