is the epistemological notion that calculus is about complex
system solving; and the complicating of what seem simple systems of
relations?

if so, then the skill is a good one.

if calculcus is about a fixed system of mathematics, independent of
the philosophy of its existence, than, ya, wotta yawner it must be.

if i can just insist that there is a difference here between
education as a practice engaged with the value of knowing and learning
as part of being a mature intelligent humane being (dare i say
moral education? no no yes yes / ideological struggle, uuhnn)

and the political distortions of this: schooling, universities,
state curriculum, professionalizing teachers instead of professionals being
teachers - there are other ways to value education outside schools.

In her hips, there's revolution.
When she talks, I hear revolution.
In her kiss, I taste the revolution.
