Wow. Maturana and Varela deja vu. When they replicate and escape from the
helmet and gloves, I'll really begin to worry.
But until then, I think it is very, Very interesting that given all the new
affordances of VR, an older form of instruction is preserved.
And there is this realization. If we are really, really good as
instructors, perhaps we will be eternalized in a machine. Never to go out
of print, never out of touch. We can now realize a dream of creating
puzzled and enlightened looks on students faces forever.
In the meantime, I'll be happy just to offload some of the grading!
