I'm surprised no one has mentioned the high school student in her first
week in a business who was given a glass of wine at a retirement party
for a worker there. When her parents called to complain the girl was
suspended for the balance of her senior year under the district's zero
tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. As I have been saying. These are
mean times.

Ironically- as far as student work. Many inner city kids work in
suburban fast food places through their high school years. The
businesses send vans into town for them and they may not get home until
one or two in the morning.
