Thanks for your reply. From my posting, it's easy to assume that I would
be in the innatist camp, but I lean heavily towards a connectionist model.
I'm not 100% certain, though, that some innate linguistic facility might
not be built in. Even connectionist models start with some initial
processing rules. The question remains whether that initial condition is
only general cognitive processing abilities or whether there is an innate
language processing ability.
Any comments?
