HI Jay, Just wanted to thank you wholeheartedly for posting
summaries of the Tuscon, Arizona conference. For someone that
didn't go it is terrific. Re: Agency. I'd like to look at memory
a little closer to see how much clearer the line can be drawn.
RE: Apartheid in South Africa. I was surprised when reading the
Buru Quartet (Pramoedya Ananta Toer) how consonant turn of the
century Indonesia appears. The complexities of blood as basis for
social organization. It is horrifying, but perhaps less so than
the subtle, or buried remnants of such systems.
