I could actually have spelled it out into Political Correctness myself -- I
did not confuse it with Personal Computer.
What Tony's posting made me see that I wasn't clear about was whose phrase
it was -- if it was coined and used by conservatives (and used by others in
reference to THAT origin). Or if it was coined, codified and used in the
administration of Academia (and then kidnapped and perverted by the
conservatives). The alternative that the phrase originated with White
Liberals I did not seriously consider (it just presented itself as a "no,
it can't be")
