The system crashed in the middle of my attempt to send a
reply to your interesting messages and I was writing in mail (no no no
no no!), so it serves me right.
I will try to respond on the weekend. But I really can't pass
up the laugh I got out of the fact that the play/imagination/action
ref to kids and adolescents was from Mind in Society! I use that
article all the time, but always have in mind early symbolic play
when doing so in some odd way I had not previously recognized because
I use it in the class where students work with middle childhood-aged
kids in the 5thD. Talk about modularity! Or maybe simple blindness.
Bless xmca for re-mediating my understanding of this set of
issues.
