I have received a request from Jim Donnelly, the editor of a journal
called (I believe) Studies in Math and Science Education published in
England. He is interested in a review article described below. I thought
that perhaps someone on xmca would like to pursue this. If so, follow
the web route Jim laid out and contact him directly.

On this particular piece (and topics always undergo an evolutionary process)
I am looking for someone prepared critically and analytically to review
research and writing on 'everyday science' in ways which might be of
interest to science educators. I suppose this might be construed in two
ways: (a) how 'scientific' phenomena are conceived of in everyday life and
(b) everyday conceptions of science. I am not sure if these two construals
really belong together, and the first is meant to take priority. I should
perhaps add that the motivation for this was originally in part to publish
in the journal work by people who were not themselves involved directly in
science education, though that is by no means a condition!

The journal publishes articles of about 10,000 words, and asks authors to
bring an international perspective to bear in the review. It is refereed.
