I just don't get it??? (Links between Macro and Micro)

Hello everyone,

I've been sitting on the sidelines of a number of xmca discussions
feeling completely bewildered.

Take a genuine "in the world" human being doing her/his stuff. . . Now
show me *where* in her/his activities she/he would experiences a seam
between what we call Macro and Micro? ? ?

I'm more than willing to admit that *analysts* have these problems, but
let's situate the problem where it lives. To but it bluntly, there is no
problem of linking macro vs micro accounts of human activity, the problem
is one of *dissolving* boundaries. At best, linking micro and macro
accounts will still yield an incomplete and misleading account of what
human beings are all about.

Given this observation, could somebody explain to me why on earth it is
so important to provide "links" between macro and micro theories?

Edouard
