Anybody interested in developmentalism at the community college?
I'm doing research on developing bilingual classroom teacher aides into
teachers. I'd like info on pedagogy reform at the CC's to make basic
courses more "user friendly" for novice college students who are older,
have families and jobs, and weak study skills and not much time to study.
Also these people need special counseling and academic advising.
So far I've stumbled across the Bridge program at a local community
college...but it's for high school dropouts, who are at a lower level than
my target populatioon.
Does anybody know of any "academy type" programs anywhere that could serve
as a model? Is anybody else interested in this?
