Dear All,
I am from India and I read your post and complains/questions and issues you
point out in your message. It is my view that.....
1.
The pandemic is the event that has awaken the people forcibly to take
active interest in the matters that concern to social system, and its
governing/functioning.
2. If man believes that science and technology has all the answers and
remedies to all the issues/problems we encounter in our society, it is a
great mistake. A social system must keep equilibrium among
Philosophy, Religion & Ethics, Economics, Science and technology.
No society can be happy if above equilibrium is lost. We left Philosophy
and Religion & Ethics far behind and put all the eggs in one basket
(Science & Technology). It is our mistake.
3.
Our Earth is not a reserved asset for mankind only. Other creatures have
equal right to have and enjoy proportionate share in the natural wealth. If
our command and supremacy in science and technology is used to swallow all
the rights of other creatures of this holy planet earth, wise men of the
society will surely sustain with the reply with tears in their eyes that we
receive now in term of pandemic given by felt necessity of the time by lord
Nature.
Protective actions from pandemic is one side, but it is not the cure of the
reasons in foundation.
Regards,
Harshad Dave
