Alfredo,
I sent this as an aside to the main discussion to focus on this notion of modulating experience. In this example if  modulating a sign language into spoken form becomes  seamless then the visual channel and hand gestures (having the qualia of language processing)  could be translated (modulated) into another indicative form.
I was imagining the potential of this emerging technology for communication. 
This was why I opened a separate thread but it may  have some relevance to what Mike Cole mentioned.
