Concerning "digital outreach" Colin. I get it about the value of chatting
at the pub and leisurely face to face interactions, but the vast majority
of xmca-o-philes could not afford to come to the meeting even it they
wanted to. But having someone record what you consider a central
talk or two, putting it on a web page, and inviting xmca members to view
it, would at least provide some access to the otherwise (dare I use the
phrase?) disinherited.
There are participants on xmca who are near neighbors of yours who, I am
certain, could provide the needed bit of assistance.
