The UCSD Science and Tech Club (formerly the Shocking! Science and Adventure Club) is a joint venture between
the San Dieguito Boys and Girls Club, Earl Warren Junior High School, and U.C. San Diego. The Club offers an
informal afterschool environment for teenagers to pursue interests in science and technology.
The activities are directed by faculty, staff, and student researchers from the Lab. of Comparative Human Cognition and the Department of Physics at the University of California, San Diego. The club meets once or twice per week after school, during the school year. Activities range from computer programming and repair, to electronics, to digital video production, to homework tutoring, and science fair style projects.
