Assistant Professor, Developmental Psychology ****

The Psychology Department <http://psychology.ucsc.edu/> at the University
of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a tenure-track
assistant professor position in developmental psychology. We wish to hire a
junior scholar whose research integrates individual, interpersonal, and/or
cultural aspects of development. We welcome applicants whose work considers
the lived experience of infants, children, and/or adolescents.  Candidates
should be actively engaged in research and show promise of continued
research productivity.  In addition, they should be capable of teaching
both graduate and undergraduate level courses, and of contributing
significantly to graduate education through mentoring of graduate
students. We seek to hire an individual whose strengths best complement the
distinctive character of our program and are especially interested in
candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our
academic community through their research, teaching, and service. ****

*RANK:* Assistant Professor (tenure track) ****

*SALARY:* Commensurate with qualifications and experience ****

*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:* Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
in Psychology or related field completed by September, 2014. The successful
candidate must have both a record of empirical research and a record of
teaching. ****

*POSITION AVAILABLE:* July 1, 2014, with academic year beginning September
2014. This position is contingent upon final budgetary approval.****
