Re: [xmca] "The Swerve" a new book reviewed on PBS today

Thanks for this Andy

I've ordered this book as it seemed such an interesting detective story and
will also expand my knowledge of this particular time period. I was going
to read it as a general interest narrative of exploration. However, your
linking this story to Marx and his fascination with Greek philosophy and
the additional realization that the concept of the *swerve* is intimately
linked with distinguishing mechanical from dialectical materialism has
added another level of questions which may be explored in this book.

As Mike earlier mentioned, so many rocks to turn over and discover what is
moving underneath. This may be one of those rocks.

Thanks Andy
