*OPENING FOR A TENURE-STREAM POSITION IN CRITICAL/FEMINIST PSYCHOLOGY AT
UPEI*



The ******University** of **Prince Edward Island**** is inviting
applications for a *tenure-stream position in Critical/Feminist
Psychology*at the Assistant Professor level beginning July 1, 2012.
Qualifications
include a Ph.D. in psychology (or a Ph.D. in final stages of completion),
demonstrated teaching ability, a student centered approach to teaching,
evidence of research potential, and evidence of research success.

The successful candidate will teach courses in critical/feminist
psychology, some of which are cross-listed with the Women’s Studies
programme, and will contribute to teaching foundational courses such as
introductory psychology or research methodology. The teaching assignment in
the first two years of a tenure-stream appointment is two courses in each
of the fall and winter semesters; the normal teaching assignment would then
be two courses one semester and three the other. Opportunities exist for
supervision of students undertaking honours theses.

The Psychology Faculty are a team of dynamic, creative, and diverse
