Topic: 'Violence, Aggression and Support' An exploration of the experiences of children and young people in school.

Dear Dr. Smagorinsky,

The Editorial Board of Pastoral Care in Education <http://sci.scientific-direct.net/c.asp?970716&fdc5243103f0460d&3> is looking to publish a Special Issue of the journal in the Summer of 2012. Specific focus will be given to understanding how violence and aggression impacts on the lives of children and young people in schools. It is also intended to feature examples of good pastoral care practice, support and management. The journal is interested in receiving research-informed articles exploring such themes as bullying (including cyber-bullying), gender-based violence and aggression, and innovatory programmes aimed at reducing violence and aggression within school communities. International contributions are particularly welcome.
