[xmca] AERA CH SIG Graduate Student Award Information--Nominations Due November 20, 2010

**AERA Cultural Historical Research SIG Graduate Student Award Call for
Nominations*

The Cultural Historical Research SIG Graduate Student Award recognizes an
outstanding work of original and independent research produced by a graduate
student, either as doctoral research or pre-doctoral research.

Who can be nominated: To be considered, the nominee must be (or become) a
member of the CH SIG.

Who can nominate: The nominator must be a member of the CH SIG and must
submit a brief statement justifying the nomination, along with electronic
contact information for the nominee.

Upon receipt of the nomination, the Chair of the Awards Committee will
request from the nominee an abstract of the work of no more than 1000 words.
Depending on the number of nominations, a subset of 3 nominees may be asked
to submit a paper of no more than 5000 words to the committee from which
they will make their final selection.

The winner will be notified in advance so that s/he can make arrangements to
attend the AERA Annual Meeting and be recognized at the CH SIG business
meeting, at which time s/he will be awarded a plaque in recognition of
his/her quality work. The winner is expected to provide a brief report on
her/his work during the AERA Annual Meeting the following year.
