*Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Bilingual/Bicultural Education*

*Teachers College, Columbia University *





*Position*: The Program in Bilingual/Bicultural Education at Teachers
College, Columbia University is seeking a scholar with demonstrated teaching
and research interests in bi/multilingual education.



*Responsibilities*: Teach graduate courses in bilingual education. Also
desirable is the ability to teach courses in any of the following: language
policy, sociology of language, minoritized language groups and language
issues. Maintain an active research and publication profile. Advise masters
and doctoral students, collaborate with teachers in schools, and participate
in program administration and development activities. Provide leadership in
bilingual teacher education.



*Qualifications*: Earned doctorate in bilingual/bicultural education and an
associated field; evidence of scholarly accomplishment; a minimum of three
years of classroom teaching experience in the U.S. public schools with
strong quality models of bi/multilingualism; experience working with
minoritized communities; successful experience working with preservice and
inservice teachers; service to the field of bilingual education; leadership
potential in teacher education; and the ability to work collaboratively.
