RE: [xmca] LSV's use of metaphor



I was thinking more of the type of toy trains that my brothers would have played with - very, very independently moving coaches! But, come to think of it, some coaches often fell off - ouch. But seriously, I do like the idea that the teacher is like a little bit of track - the coaches arrive from soemwhere and travel for a little distance along a path directed by the teacher before they go elsewhere on their journey of life..

Woa, not so sure about the train track metaphor. The train moves freely up
and down a pre-scribed
track and the only thing that can vary "independently" is speed! Brrrr.
