RE: [xmca] International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology: IACEP 2011 International Conference



I went to this one in Knoxville in 2007 and really enjoyed it. There
were quite a number of folks doing dynamic assessment (like Lidz,
Carlson, Das) as well as some very interesting folk from Israel and the
Scandinavian countries. 
I had quite a bit of fun with Duane Rumbaugh, whom I had never met; he
is simply fascinating to listen to talk about his work with the great
apes and linguistics. Also a wild sense of humor... :-) 
The conference is not necessarily large, but has a good draw of folks in
the field. I highly recommend this conference if your interests stray to
that side of the coin....
