RE: [xmca] Program in the Interdisciplinary Sciences?

Dear Catherine,

I guess you are interested in what is called Science and Technology Studies (STS) or Social Studies of Science (SSS).

A good primer is the wikipedia page on STS, which includes some information about academic programs in the US:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_and_technology_studies#STS_Academic_programs

You may also want to consult the following academic organisations:

# Society for Social Studies of Science (4S)
# European Society for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST)

Good luck.

Michiel

Subject: [xmca] Program in the Interdisciplinary Sciences?

Dear Colleagues:
I am writing to inquire if anyone knows of an institution with a program that integrates the human / social sciences (sociology, psychology, anthropology, education) with the physical sciences(biology, physics, ecology, chemistry) at the undergraduate level. Your guidance would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Cathrene
