From: Mike Cole <lchcmike who-is-at gmail.com>
Date: Thu Nov 29 2007 - 14:39:01 PST

- Please note the quickly approaching deadline.

Pending budgetary approval, the Department of Psychology is seeking to
fill a faculty position, at the level of either tenure-track assistant
professor or tenured associate professor (up through 10 years post-Ph.D.),
effective July 1, 2008, in an area of the Department called Change,
Plasticity, and Development.

This area focuses on the study of change processes, across species and
across the life-span, with emphasis on both normal and atypical
development. For the current position, the area of social development,
broadly construed, is emphasized; applicants with interests in social and
emotional development at any point of the lifespan, including the periods
of infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, or aging, as well as those
interested in lifespan development, are especially encouraged to apply.

The application deadline is December 1, 2007. Applicants should send a
curriculum vitae, description of research interests, and selected reprints
to: Change, Plasticity, and Development Search Committee, Department of
Psychology, 3210 Tolman Hall #1650, University of California, Berkeley, CA
94720-1650, and/or electronically.

Note that electronic submission of .pdf files is strongly preferred.

Candidates should also arrange to have at least three letters of
recommendation sent to the same address or URL and to request that
referees read the University's statement on confidentiality
(http://apo.chance.berkeley.edu/evalltr.html) prior to submitting their
letters. Applications postmarked after December 1, 2007, cannot be
considered. Application materials will not be returned. The University of
California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
