I agree. The idea of joint symposium is quite interesting. I was receiving
the info from Dewey sig. I will be very much interested in the topic as
I have done research in Russian and American Dewey schools on teachers
reflective actions and struggled theoretically and empirically to question
and use the dialogue between Dewey and Vygotsky. Besides Jim, Tanner might
be interested too.
I am thinking about exploring the notions of praxis, activity, and
experience for the next AERA. Anybody interested in that?

I have on my table a violin string. It is free. I twist one end of
it and it responds. It is free. But it is not free to do what a
violin string is supposed to do - to produce music. So I take it,
fix it in my violin and tighten it until it is taut. Only then it
is free to be a violin string.
