Interesting that the article didn't mention Pierre Tielhard de Chardin - who
started from the premise that all we've evolved to be bears a relationship
of fit with the world around us and argued that we are evolving toward a
better fit with God. He sees our hunger for answers and our capacity
for abstract, rational thought as evidence of a universal intelligence, the
inclination toward believing in things we can't see as evidence of a
spiritual world, altruism as us coming to a better fit with a benevolent
presence...and so forth. He predicted the Internet long before computers
(the noosphere) Very strange and interesting French priest - black listed
by the pope....

But what I really am writing about - I noticed that one of these links is
the trailer for the film "The Namesake" and the cinema society is having a
preshowing on Tuesday evening at the LaJolla AMC- Pen will be out of town -
would you and Sheila like to go with me?
