Researchers from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education (Nonie
Lesaux, Principal Investigator) will be conducting a study (February -
March)in the San Diego Unified School District. The purpose of the study is
to examine language and literacy development of sixth grade middle
schoolers from diverse backgrounds.

Research assistants will be trained to administer standardized and researcher-developed tasks of language and literacy, as well as a student questionnaire. Rate of pay will be $15/hr - $18/hr, depending on experience. Individuals must be available 2-3 days a week during school hours. Opportunities beyond data collection are a possibility for doctoral students.
