Sorry - I have no better place to spend my anger than here over the
decision in Libya to hold Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor
responsible for hundreds of kids contracting HIV. The decision to
execute - KILL - these people comes after they have been incarcerated
for over 7 years, and their involvement in the children's contraction
of HIV is clearly absent.
While I puzzle over the social, cultural, historical and
institutionally-embedded issues of second language learning and
teaching, I try not to leave these awful human injustices alone.
After all, it's all interwoven.
