heavy, often mindless,
homework that is being piled on kids in the US as part of the Fordist
production model of
education that reigns here. In addition, it has some interesting web sites
that address different
aspects of the efforts to support parents who must deal with the homework
dumped on their
kids and others that offer activities that seek to promote academic skill
development by other means.
