A few recommendations:
The chapter entitled Psychology's Best Seller: Mental Illness and Mental
Health in Newman and Holzman's Unscientific Psychology (Praeger, 1996)
Ian Parker's Deconstructing Psychotherapy (Sage, 1999). Most of Parker's
writings and edited books present a critical psychology approach to
pathology and as such are culturalist.
