Science at New York University invite applications for a tenure-track
faculty position from candidates with interests in neural and psychological
mechanisms of decision making. Applications at the level of Assistant or
Associate Professor are preferred. Position at the assistant professor level
would be tenure-track, while position at the associate professor level would
be with tenure. The appointment will begin September 1, 2006, pending final
administrative and budgetary approval. The successful candidate will
contribute to a joint Neural Science, Psychology, and Economics initiative,
in the Center for Neuroeconomics and Decision Making at NYU. Particular
consideration will be given to candidates studying human decision making
with theoretical, psychophysical, and brain imaging approaches. Candidates
working on decision making in other systems and with other techniques will
also be considered. The primary criteria for the appointment will be
excellence in basic research and teaching. Although there is no official
deadline, application review will begin in December 2005. Please send
