Elaine Parent mistakenly sent a not intended for group of researchers who
in running university-community partnerships. The contents may be of some
interest to
those of you who teach in universities.
In this class, students interact with children and write fieldnotes about
the interactions. Part of
their final project is to read the fieldnotes sequentially from the
beginning (18-19 lenghty notes)
and then summarize their experiences in terms of how they had changed.
As it turns out, Elaine came up with a categorization that takes the
several questions and categorizes
them in a way that fits rather well into a mediated triangle framework. That
is, minimally, we find evidence
concerning change in sense of self, sense of kids, and use of theories and
Not White house approved evidence. But interesting for those interested in
higher education.
