What a great question. Can I pass it on to the SIG discussion list?

Anyone with access to email can participate in the SIG, by voting on SIG
themes, issues, officers.

SIG OFFICERS can certainly live and work outside the U.S., but they must
attend AERA (which is a good idea if you attend a U.S. University) to
participate in the SIG business meetings.

Pilar, who is currently our co-president, lives in Spain. A couple years
ago, Jennifer Vadeboncouer, who lives in Australia, was our treasurer.
