The school is an inner-city school with very high % free lunch, mostly
minority children. The contradiction my student is seeing is betwwen the
research report that predicts kids labled adhd are at high risk of being
stigmatized, and her observations that indicate instead many are popular with
peers in this school. She's looking for resolution and distrusts the
cultural perspective implicit in the research.
