ah, the sweet smell of psychology

Psychological science, of the sort envisioned by the Politics-based
Education movement (or is that the Evidence-based Politics movement?), has
been in charge of solving the problems of education for fifty years now.
The problems appear to be worse. Do we really need intellectual arguments
to suggest that it's time to try something else? Or do we just need to keep
trying to vote in a government that is really interested in social change?
(a majority obviously is no longer quite enough to do this ...)
