Dear All:
In response to Mike's probe, I felt obliged to say that I have been quietly
getting ready for this discussion at least to read what others have to say
and possibly voice an opinion. I have been trying to use Leontiev's ideas
to develop a cultural psychological framework for the study of children's
play and published a chapter on this issue in my edited volume "Children's
engagement in the world: sociocultural persoectives". Thus, I am very
excited about this particular "activity.!" Artin
