Along the same lines that Vincent mentioned, one of the things that came up
in special education is the calls for more profileing or "kid watching". I
cannnot seperate this from the larger issues of prisons in regard to laws
in which someone can receive more time simply by the "possibility" that
they will commit another crime. The argument in regards to both these
issues is science has given us demonstrated research on the behavior of our
species and it would be foolish or unethical to ignore this knowledge. A
popular early education advocate in our district argued we know who these
children are from as early as preschool and we need programs that will
intervene (read rehabilitate) at an ealy age.
