Just a reminder to all XMCA'ers who will be in Montreal next week that the
business session will be on Thurs at 6:15 and the session chaired by Vera
will be "Bilingualism and Its Modern Challenges with Luis Moll, Olga
Vazques and Leila Flores-Dueno. (44.12)

The CHAT SIG's first session is Tuesday on Extending socio-cultural Theory
into counseling and psychotherapy (17.03). see below

Another co-sponsored session is on Friday am (49.40)on Educational Policy
Implications of the Hart & Risley Study on everyday Childhood Experiences
(Tharp, Risley, Rueda, Dalton...)

J. Werstch has an invited session on Wed. pm 'Sociocultural Analyses of
Educational Settings " listed as well.

At the meeting, we will try to get as many of these papers to be available
electronically at our webpage.

Please try to recruit members for the SIG while you are there, next year
we'll be down to 2-3 sessions lest we clone now..

For those wanting information on the HOMINIS conference in CUBA Nov 1-5,
1999 (CHAT is featured), Guillermo Arias (co-organizer) will be in Montreal
as you see below on Tuesday and for the business meeting. We have received
12+ queries so far, I still serve as the U.S. contact for proposals....the
deadline is in MAY.( $650.00 includes registration, hotel & bkfast) Session
proposals welcomed.
