Thanks for organizing, Mike

You know, I'm minded to take responsibility for being slow and European:
last summer there was some organized effort to discuss your *Cultural
Psychology* -- a discussion that I followed in a very frustrated mode, as
it was well under way before I got hold of the book and then I was never
able to catch up on the reading... Likewise, the interesting burst of
discussion on *settings* last September, which was started by your
forwarding of Shep Whites comments on the symposium on Sarason's *The
Creation of Settings* in MCA happened before I was able to lay my hands on
that issue -- and then when I could have, the XMCA discussion was over, so
I didn't get around to actually reading it until this summer.

Now, I think that getting back to *Cultural Psychology* might be an
interesting complement to the already suggested ones -- isn't this medium
famous for its ability to support multiple topics :-) For one thing I
suspect there has been a considerable turnover of participants in this
dynamically stable forum since last summer, and for another a lot of people
would already have a (dog-eared) copy of *CP*.

As I don't remember precisely what last year's discussions led to, I'll go
back in the archives and get updated so I can give a very brief report.
