On another topic, and I know TWIAVBP, and at the risk of proffering a
scintilla of disquiet...
T'other day I was listening to NPR (?else?) and heard US Sen. Trent
Lott's (Senate Majority Leader) ravings about his version of Christianity
vis human sexuality: women's submission to men, boilerplate condemnation of
bi/gay/lesbian identities, etc.
Pondering this, along with (local hero/zero) Rep. Istook's
"Religious Freedom" amendment, Pat Robertson's condemnatory prophecies of
doom for Orlando and Disney for their putative hospitality toward the
despised, the annual meeting of the US Baptists--this year held in Salt lake
City--and the sundry predations visited upon the polity by the rest of the
relentless propogators fundamentalist "Christianity," it suddenly occurred
to me:
Pat Robertson, Trent Lott, Ernest Istook, James Dobson, the Promise Keepers,
the Baptists, etc. (fill in your own blank)...
are _homoSECTual_.
Anybody wanting to use the idea as a bumpersticker for a good, non-profit
cause is hereby authorized to do so. Just remember where you heard it!
