Repetition

Hi Mike, hi everyone, I am not sure that I can buy the strong
claim of cultural psychology where there is prosthetics via
language use. Perhaps that I don't understand what you mean by
prosthetics, but if the implication is that one cannot say what
one means on account that language is systematic and "used", then
I am going to have to repeat over and over that I do mean what I
say! I cannot imagine a world where it would be other wise. "I'd
like a glass of water, please" "Here take some soda, surely you
meant soda!" And I am not understanding also the exchange over
"Memorial Day". Must be off! Or maybe that I just don't get it!
Or maybe just gullible? Difficult when there is a possibility
that one doesn't mean it. But not uncommon, granted.
