Hi Luiz (M. Lasagna?), Hi everyone, I knew that there would be an
alternative to "Sweeties" in the form of Lasagna! but first
thought it might be "Tortelini". Your delicious parable makes me think of
Leontev's insight regarding "the subject subjectivizing the
object and the object objectivizing the subject" hence my
wondering whether you were now a M. Lasagna of sorts! And of
course I agree with you that subjects and objects (cooks and their
lasagna) inhabit the same world, come in intiamte contact with
eachother to the point of mutually creating eachother, but again
that sort of dynamic is only possible in my experience when both
subject and object are irreducibly different, or separate, if you
prefer. Here is a question from the French playwrite Moliere
(18th century Shakespeare equivalent in French culture) "Does one
live to eat or eat to live?" M is for Make up your own answer. O
is for Object (Mom in object relation psych.) Object (Motive in
AT), and Object (tool world in cog. sci). All of this with zero
psych. background, but trusting that you will fill in the missing
points. I agree with Judy that crossing boundaries in theory
(appropriating, importing across disciplines) is salutary, and at
the same time feel that separating terms is crucial.
