Luiz-- The web of connections that Eugene's comments set off in you
resonates strongly with many of my own connections. There are several
articles to be found in Mind, Culture, and Activity, including one
by Eugene, that you ought to find interesting. The Michael Hoquist
article in the collection of essays called *Mind, Culture, and Activity*
called "The politics of representation" ought to be of special
interest to you. Yrjo Engestrom uses Bateson extensively in talking
about contradictions, in this case double binds, as potentially
developmentally crucial moments.
