I was asked for some refs on the work of Alfred Lang and colleagues.

Workplaces: I was thinking of Urs Fuhrer's contribution in Chaiklin & Lave
(1993) *Understanding Practice* -- this is probably the same publication
included in Jorma's list:

(Could you give us the titles of the works, Jorma? -- I'd like to see if my
hunches are right.... Thankyou!)

Then what I snatched out of my piles when I wanted to confirm the phrase
*Semiotic Ecology* was a reprint from *Schweizerische Zeitschrift f=FCr
Psychologie* 52:2 (1993) of Lang's article "Non-Cartesian Artefacts in
Dwelling activities: Steps towards a Semiotic Ecology". There are some
pretty interesting refs in that paper (and on the last page of the paper
before it... I might take it to a scanner, too much for typing).

The item that sticks in my mind so that I think of Lang et al. when it
comes to sociospatial meaningmaking must be from one of the publications
edited by Doise and Mugny on social representations. problem is it's in my
mind not in my e-files.

Also, Alfred Lang used to be (still is?) on the list, perhaps there is
someone from the et alias, too? Hello-o??
