Hi Eva--
The entire discussion on emulation/imitation is helping me
clarify some issues I have been foggy on.
Your parenthetical remark about "people who have gone the
path of experimental training seem to arrive from an entirely different
direction even when ty end up in rough the same place as me" struck
me as diagnostic of a very general tendency that Cultural Psychology
is addressed to. By my reading, scholars from many disciplines are
returning to problematics that were cognized/communicated by scholars
in the last half of the 19th century, who themselves came to that
share problematic from different starting points. Can we learn from
our great-grandparents and each other? Hope springs eternal and/or
forgetfulness makes re-discovery both necessaryan and possible.
